From Paraná to the World
We started AlgoFocus because we saw too many talented people in Argentina struggling to break into blockchain development. Traditional education wasn't keeping up with how fast this technology moves. So we built something different - a place where real blockchain experience meets practical learning that actually works in today's market.
Every great idea starts with a problem that needs solving. Ours began when we watched brilliant minds in Argentina hit walls trying to learn blockchain development through outdated courses and theoretical programs.
After working with three different blockchain startups, we kept running into the same problem. Companies wanted developers with real blockchain experience, but universities weren't teaching practical skills. We decided to bridge that gap ourselves, starting with evening workshops in Paraná.
Our first cohort of 12 students all landed blockchain-related roles within six months. Word spread fast. We realized we'd stumbled onto something that actually worked - combining hands-on tokenization projects with real client challenges instead of theoretical exercises.
Students from Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and even Uruguay started joining our programs remotely. We adapted our approach to work seamlessly online while keeping the collaborative, project-based learning that made our in-person programs successful.
Today, we're focused on creating the most practical blockchain education experience in Latin America. Our next cohort starts in autumn 2025, and we're working on partnerships with blockchain companies that want to hire our graduates directly.
We're not your typical education startup. Our team comes from actual blockchain development backgrounds - we've built smart contracts, launched tokens, and worked with DeFi protocols. This hands-on experience shapes everything we teach.
Blockchain Architecture Lead
Former smart contract developer at two Argentine fintech startups. Esperanza specializes in Ethereum and Polygon development, and she's the one who designs our hands-on coding challenges. She believes the best way to learn blockchain is by actually building things that work.
Tokenization Strategy Director
Valentina helped launch three successful token projects before joining us. She handles our curriculum design and works directly with students on their capstone projects. Her background in both technical development and business strategy helps students understand the full picture.
This year, we're launching our most ambitious program yet - a comprehensive blockchain development track that includes real client projects, mentorship from industry professionals, and direct connections to companies hiring blockchain developers. We're not just teaching technology; we're building careers.
